Causes of Mouth Ulcers

In Ayurveda, stomatitis is divided into five different types, depending on the disturbed Dosha causing the symptoms. Below is a brief description of each type together with the specific treatment. In the type of “Vataja” stomatitis has severe pain, cracking of the tongue and intolerance to cold food. (Five salts) and medicated oils are used for topical application.
