DISCIPLINE POLICY

At Bapusaheb Thite College of Nursing, we strive to uphold high standards of professionalism, respect, and integrity. Our discipline policy is designed to create a positive learning environment where students, faculty, and staff work together in harmony, fostering a culture of mutual respect and accountability.

Code of Conduct
All students are expected to adhere to the following standards:
1. Respectful Behavior Students should show respect to peers, faculty, staff, and visitors. Disrespectful language, behavior, or actions will not be tolerated.
2. Attendance and Punctuality
• Regular attendance and punctuality in classes, practical sessions, and clinical postings are mandatory.
• Unexcused absences and habitual tardiness may result in disciplinary action.
3. Academic Integrity
• Students must maintain honesty and integrity in all academic work.
• Cheating, plagiarism, or other forms of academic dishonesty are strictly prohibited.
4. Dress Code
• Students must adhere to the college dress code, which includes wearing uniforms and appropriate footwear during classes and clinical sessions.
• Inappropriate attire is not allowed on campus or in affiliated hospitals.
5. Mobile Phones and Electronic Devices
• Mobile phones should be kept on silent mode and used only during breaks.
• Use of electronic devices is permitted in classrooms only with faculty approval.
6. Clinical Conduct
• Professional behavior is essential during clinical practice, both on and off campus.
• Students must maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
7. Library and Resource Use
• Students are expected to maintain silence and respect library rules to create a conducive learning environment for all.
• Misuse of resources or disruptive behavior in the library will result in disciplinary action.
8. Substance Abuse
• The use of tobacco, alcohol, or illegal drugs on campus and during clinical placements is strictly prohibited.
• Any student found violating this policy will face severe disciplinary action. Disciplinary Actions

The college may take the following actions based on the severity of the violation:
• Verbal Warning
For minor infractions, students will receive a verbal warning.
• Written Warning
Continued violations may result in a written warning placed in the student’s record.
• Suspension
Serious or repeated violations may lead to suspension from classes, clinical postings, or both.
• Expulsion
Severe breaches of conduct, including acts of violence, substance abuse, or academic dishonesty, may result in permanent expulsion from the college.
Grievance Redressal
We encourage students to voice any concerns regarding disciplinary actions in a respectful and structured manner through the Grievance Redressal Committee. This committee is available to ensure fair and transparent handling of all issues.
